My apologies. I used to watch Fox avidly a year or so ago and I never noticed the guy.

Exactly. I couldn't have said it much better myself. He had a contract, he broke the terms of his contract, he got fired. This wasn't the first time he'd done it either, he had been warned several times in the past.

This whole thing just goes to show how little the right knows about the constitution despite how much they like to spout off about it. It's especially ironic given their extreme pro-business stance.

 

The right's "extreme pro-business stance" would seem to give employers nearly complete control over their employees. The right is upset over this matter, but it would be supportive of the Christian Broadcasting Network if it fired an employee for admitting on another station that he had doubts about the Genesis creation story.

 

I don't watch TV at all because I rather do my own research. And no, not off of every god damned blog or drollery site.

Anyway, there is a media watchdog exclusively dedicated to monitoring Fox News, called newshounds.us (funded by Bravefilms which is a left wing production group). Don't get me wrong, they have their own bias but at least, for the purpose of logging several daily Fox News shows, they should give you an idea on how many programs Juan Williams has been participating.

They could cover more shows, even Fox Business network, but they work so watching shows and writing about them with some attached research on the subject takes an army people which they do not have. They are not as equipped as Media Matters but they do a decent job.

 

I'm not able to disagree or agree because I have no facts on the matter. You claim that you only make argument and assertions based on factual information. I've asked you to provide it - you are dodging my request blatantly.

I thought I would be more surprised about you avoiding a request to back up your assertion factually . . . but your pattern has become crystal clear. Once you have bolstered yourself with about a half-dozen sets of stats or quotes that seem to readily support your opinion, you're incapable of discussing anything deeper. You consistently repeat the same set as if repetition gives your message credibility - but it only works with folks similarly-minded to yourself, seeking validation for what they already believe. Your irrationality on this subject - coupled with the sheer effort you put forth trying to enlighten everybody to your truth - is fascinating.

I do not fear the insults of fools who cannot refute my arguments. Their insults confirm the accuracy and validity of my opinions. Also, the reason they get angry at me is because they know what I say is true. People do not get angry when opinions they know to be valid are challenged.

Although I am a gentile, I love Jews, Judiasm, and Israel. If someone said that the reason most Jews do poorly in school is because they are biologically inferior, that assertion would evoke nothing more from me than a faint smile.

DL, you need to take a break and find someone to teach you how to read statistical information.

The charts and test results you showed do not support your position, they only indicate that more study is required to understand their foundation.

African Americans are not a genetically inferior race in our society, neither are Arabic Americans. The problem,as I see it, is that you are using data that is predominantly the result of socioeconomic conditions as a basis for your misguided beliefs.

 

Conservatives love to pretend to be liberal on racial matters. When the civil rights legislation was signed into law in the 1960s it was widely assumed that black performance and behavior would soon come to emulate that of whites. This has still not happened. Nor has it happened anywhere else in the world.

 

Again you stereotype, your statement is both inaccurate and seems to be based on incomplete information.

Particularly the conclusion on pages 272 & 3.

I do not doubt that Ashley Montagu doubts the importance of IQ differences. In one of his early books, Man's Most Dangerous Myth he pioneered the liberal myth that race is a social construct. A DNA test can tell a person's race without knowing anything about him but a tissue sample. It can also tell if one is 75% white, 25% negro, and so on.

Just because someone who can write books claims that race and IQ do not matter does not mean that they do not matter. As more is learned about the human genome it will become more obvious that both matter.

For too long the dread shout of "Racist!" has been used to suppress a public discussion of the obvious relationships between genes, IQ, race, crime, and other factors. As more is learned about genetics the relationships will become more obvious.

 

Well for a start you said race and IQ matter. Thats like saying dogs and biscuits matter. Or chicken and clouds matter. Or lemonade and pianos matter. WTF are you talking about? Do you even know? Can I hazard a guess?

You think that there is a link between race and IQ? Of course you could only show that scientifically in a fair test. And a fair test has to have all things equal except the variables. The variables here would be the race and the resultant IQ. Everything else that affects a persons IQ would have to be the same. So education, social background etc etc would all have to be the same. Then you could do your test. Do you have figures for this fair test.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you are saying that whites have higher IQs than blacks when you dont have the evidence of a fair test. This is prejudiced. And its prejudice based on race. You are, ergo, a racist.

Of course you might have meant something else altogether. But I doubt it.
